Complex carbohydrates
You should ensure to eat complex carbohydrates. These release the glucose (also called dextrose) into the blood slowly. This way, the feeling of satiety remains constant for longer and cravings are avoided. Complex carbohydrates are mainly found in wholemeal bread, fruit, soy products and oatmeal.

Proteins
Eggs are among the top sources of protein and also contain large amounts of vitamins and minerals. Protein is also found in smaller amounts in dairy and soy products, as well as in cheese, yogurt and cottage cheese.

Healthy fats
We find fats in smaller and larger quantities in almost all products on the breakfast table. This is a good thing, because fats are an important energy reserve for the body. However, we should pay attention to which fats we eat more of. Unsaturated fats, which are found in nuts, seeds and avocado, for example, are excellent for breakfast.
